Recently, CCTV footage showcasing a man slapping an apartment security guard had gone viral. The security guard had apparently stopped the man’s vehicle from entering the apartment compound in Klang, due to the absence of a resident’s sticker on his car.

The security guard later reported the incident to the police, leading the authorities to investigate the incident.

According to a report by Sinar Harian, the Klang Selatan District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Cha Hoong Fong shared that the incident took place at around 10am last Thursday (March 20), while the victim, a 33-year-old foreign man, was on duty at the apartment’s security post.

He was allegedly slapped for using rude words when stopping the man who did not have a resident’s sticker.

“Investigations found that the 2 individuals (in the vehicle) were not residents of the apartment and stated that they had come to pick up their cousin to send him to the airport,”

“An argument then broke out before one of the individuals involved slapped the security guard,” he said.

Following interviews with both parties, the police found that the incident occurred after the complainant allegedly used rude and disrespectful words.

No escalations

After having further discussions, both parties have decided to resolve the matter without involving the authorities.
