KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 15 — National women’s doubles pair Pearly Tan and M. Thinaah have sailed into the second round of the Denmark Open after sweeping aside an unseeded Indonesian duo.
The world number two Malaysians, fresh from winning the Arctic Open title on Sunday, overcame Febi Setianingrum and Rachel Allessya Rose 21-13, 21-17 in a 35-minute match at Arena Fyn in Odense.
Their next hurdle will be the new Japanese pairing of Arisa Igarashi and Chiharu Shida in the second round tomorrow.
