Pearly-Thinaah clinch Thailand Open title

MALAYSIA'S top women’s doubles pair Pearly Tan and M. Thinaah secured their fourth World Tour title following a victory at the Thailand Open 2025 (Super 500) in Bangkok earlier today.

The world No. 4 overcame South Korea's world No. 105 Jeong Na Eun-Lee Yeon Woo 21-16, 21-17 in the Super 500 women's doubles final in 57 minutes.

In doing so, they also made history — becoming the first Malaysian women’s doubles pair to lift the Thailand Open title since the tournament began 41 years ago.

The title adds up to their early wins at the Swiss Open (2021), French Open (2022) and the Hong Kong Open (2024).

Pearly-Thinaah's earned US$37,525 (RM161,191) for their efforts while Na Eun-Yeon Woo received US$18,050 (RM77,535). - May 18, 2025
