Pearly-Thinaah reach Arctic Open final

NATIONAL women's doubles Pearly Tan-M.Thinaah reached their third final of the year at the Arctic Open in Vantaa, Finland.

World No. 7 Pearly-Thinaah edged Japan's No. 6 Rin Iwanaga-Kie Nakanishi 19-21, 21-19, 26-24 in a 102-minute battle.

Pearly-Thinaah will meet China's Liu Sheng Shu-Tan Ning or Li Yi Jing-Luo Xu Min in Sunday's final.

The duo will join professional men's double - Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin Rumsari in the finals.

The fifth-seeded pair will take on defending champions, Kim Astrup-Anders Skaarup Rasmussen after the second seeds from Denmark defeated Thailand’s Kittinipong Kedren-Dechapol Puavaranukroh 21-14, 21-19. - October 13, 2024
