PENAMPANG: The public is invited to celebrate the Penampang Kaamatan Festival on May 21.
District Officer, Francis Chong, said the celebration would be officiated by Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development (Kuskop), Datuk Ewon Benedick who is also Penampang MP, at Sabah Cultural Centre Hall.
“We invite the public to attend and enliven the Penampang Kaamatan which serves several interesting events such as Sugandoi competition in Kg Tuavon, Sodop Unduk Ngadau on May 18 at Putera Ballroom and Unduk Ngadau contest at Sabah Cultural Centre Hall on May 21 .
“In addition, the public also has the opportunity to get daily necessities with a 15-per cent discount of Madani sales, exhibitions by government departments, traditional sports, traditional cooking, ‘Magagung’ and Sumazau competitions at Padang B, Penampang Sports Board,” he said after chairing the Penampang District Level Kaamatan Festival Celebration.
