The University of Perpetual Help community held a pep rally on Friday at the Home of the Altas Gym in Las Piñas City to support the athletes who will represent the school in Season 102 of the National Collegiate Athletics Association.
The new season will begin with an elaborate opening ceremony on Sept. 13 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Right after the opening rites, the men’s basketball tournament begins with season host and defending champion San Beda University taking on College of Saint Benilde at 2 p.m. and the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta clashing with Colegio de San Juan de Letran at 4 p.m.
Starting Sept. 14, however, each playdate will feature two seniors games and two juniors games.
The juniors games will be played at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. while the seniors games will be held at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
For Season 102, the league will be divided in two groups.
In Group A are San Beda, St. Benilde, Jose Rizal University, Lyceum of the Philippines University and Mapua University.
In Group B are Perpetual Help, Letran, Emilio Aguinaldo College, Arellano University and San Sebastian College-Recoletos.
