MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine peso weakened against the US dollar on Friday, closing at P62.749 from P62.73 a day earlier.
The local currency opened at P62.70 and traded between P62.595 and P62.777 during the session.
The Friday close was 0.019 peso weaker than Thursday, or about 0.03 percent.
