PetroGreen solar plant gets compliance certificate

PETROGREEN Energy Corp. (PGEC) on Tuesday said its 25-megawatt-peak Bugallon solar power plant in Pangasinan had been granted a certificate of compliance by the Energy Regulatory Commission.

“With the issuance of the certificate of compliance, the facility can now commence commercial operations,” PGEC Assistant Vice President Dave Gadiano said.It can also proceed with applications for a certificate of endorsement for the green energy tariff with the Department of Energy and a renewable energy payment agreement with National Transmission Corp., he added.National Grid Corp. of the Philippines and Central Pangasinan Electric Cooperative approved a grid connection in July after completion of commissioning tests.The plant will be operated by Bugallon Green Energy as part of a portfolio under Rizal Green Energy Corp., a joint-venture between PGEC and Japan’s Taisei Corp.PGEC said Rizal Green Energy was also scheduled to start commissioning tests for the Limbauan Solar Power Project Phase 1 in San Pablo, Isabela.PetroEnergy’s share price rose by 9 centavos to close at P4 each on Tuesday.
