Jetsetting with pets is taking off in a big way says VistaJet. The luxury aviation provider has reported a notable surge in demand for pet-friendly travel, with a 17% increase in flight traffic throughout 2024. The world’s first and only global private aviation company attributes this growth to a rising trend among pet owners who wish to include their furry companions in their summer adventures.
Top destinations for four-legged travellers included London, New York, and Nice, with dogs remaining the most common animal guests on board. However, the skies have also welcomed more exotic passengers, including a blue-tongued skink and a Sulcata tortoise—who, according to VistaJet, enjoyed their flights immensely thanks to heated cabin floors replicating their natural habitat.
Flyling With Your Furkids
Through its VistaPet programme, launched in 2019, VistaJet offers bespoke flying solutions for pets and their owners. Collaborating with veterinary experts, pet behaviourists, and groomers, the company provides a seamless experience in the skies. Each flight includes a VistaPet Pochette—filled with organic treats, grooming wipes, and toys—while pets can also enjoy a tailored private dining menu of fresh ingredients.

For those with nervous companions, VistaJet has partnered with canine behaviourists at The Dog House to offer fear of flying courses, aiming to make travel a stress-free experience for all.
“Pets are part of the family, and they deserve to share in life’s special moments,” said Matteo Atti, VistaJet’s Chief Marketing Officer. “Our team is dedicated to making sure every member—human or animal—is cared for with meticulous attention to detail.”
Beyond Air Travel
VistaJet’s Private World network ensures comfort doesn’t end at the tarmac. With over 600 global partners, the company offers curated access to exclusive, pet-friendly properties and experiences. In London, members can stay at luxury Maybourne Group hotels like Claridge’s and The Connaught, where pets are pampered with plush beds and gourmet treats.
Further afield, The Maybourne Riviera on the Côte d’Azur and the Four Seasons Hawaii Collection provide idyllic escapes, complete with tailored activities from sunrise yoga to rainforest hikes—all welcoming of four-legged friends.
With the world’s largest fleet of Global 7500 jets, each equipped for journeys up to 17 hours, VistaJet continues to redefine luxury travel—ensuring pets and their owners can explore the world together in comfort and style.
