PEZA signs registration of new logistics firm

Logistics firm Apexford International Corp. has entered into a registration agreement with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA).

Signing the deal on July 6 were PEZA Director General Tereso O. Panga and Apexford president Anthony Aquitania, witnessed by Apexford vice president for operations Reshnee Bhagwandas and vice president for business development and strategy Arlyn Dimal Pangan.

“Our decision to [operate] within the PEZA framework is driven by a commitment to [help secure] a bright economic future for the Philippines,” Aquitania said.

Apexford’s offices are located at the First Cavite Industrial Estate (FCIE) in Dasmariñas.

“We are not here simply to engage in business, but to be an active participant in the nation’s growth. PEZA provides the best opportunity for investors to integrate into a world-class ecosystem.”

Through its warehousing, supply chain management, and distribution services, Apexford will support PEZA’s mission to create a frictionless business environment, ensuring that the operations of locators remain smooth, efficient, and aligned with the country’s roadmap for attracting global investors and driving sustainable economic progress.

The logistics sector is currently experiencing a surge in demand as global supply chains become more complex and time-sensitive, Apexford officials said, adding that the modern industrial landscape leans toward specialized logistics services to maintain a competitive edge.

Apexford’s entry into this space is timely, Aquitania said, as PEZA locators continue to seek expert partners who can navigate the intricacies of duty-free movements and zone-to-zone transfers, allowing manufacturers to focus entirely on their core production goals.

PEZA, under the leadership of Panga, has streamlined its processes, and its holistic approach continues to yield impressive results, characterized by sectoral resilience, ease of doing business, and infrastructure excellence.

Apexford is also looking forward to future expansions in key growth corridors, including the Mindanao North Passage Special Economic Zone (MINPAS) in Misamis Occidental.

“We are keen to play a part in that project, as we believe in the immense potential of Mindanao as another investment destination,” Aquitania said.
