KOTA KINABALU: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (PGRS) warned that any member who chooses to contest the 2025 state election as an independent will face immediate expulsion, according to its secretary-general Datuk Mohammad Razali Razi on Saturday.

He said running as an independent goes against the party’s collective stand as a component of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah.

Razali stressed that anyone contesting outside the GRS banner does so entirely on their own and without the backing of the party leadership.

He said the party has decided that members who break this rule will be removed without delay.

PGRS also called on supporters and its machinery to close ranks and focus on securing victory for GRS candidates for the sake of Sabah’s future.
