KOTA KINABALU: Seat talks between Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) for the coming state election are almost complete, with only a few constituencies left unresolved, said Sabah PKR chief Datuk Mustapha Sakmud (pic).

He said discussions with Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) had also started and would require more time, though he was confident they could be concluded soon.

Mustapha, who is also Sepanggar MP, stressed that political stability was the priority in negotiations, noting it would also strengthen the Federal Government.

Citing Indonesia as an example, he said recent political upheavals there underscored the need for Malaysia and Sabah to safeguard stability.

He added that PKR had prepared its candidate list, comprising both new and incumbent figures including professionals and former civil servants, with the aim of fielding strong contenders in winnable seats.
