PH candidate Datuk Ruji Ubi and wife cast ballots at SK Sungai Haji Matahir polling centre in four-cornered Merotai contest.

KOTA KINABALU: Pakatan Harapan candidate Datuk Ruji Ubi has fulfilled his civic duty by voting in the 17th Sabah State Election.

The Merotai state seat contender arrived with his wife Datin Kamariah Abd Rahman at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Haji Matahir in Tawau shortly after polling opened at 7.30am.

Ruji, former National Unity Ministry secretary-general, faces a four-cornered contest for the Merotai constituency.

The seat contains 26,179 registered voters eligible to participate in today’s election.

Merotai represents one of four state constituencies within the larger Kalabakan parliamentary constituency. – Bernama
