MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine selections for the Eurovision Song Contest Asia will take place “soon”, according to ABS-CBN.
Late on Friday, the network teased the upcoming national selection for the Contest.
“From the archipelagos, to the world… Hear the music soon,” ABS-CBN said in its social media platforms.
ABS-CBN is the Philippines’ official broadcaster for the Eurovision Song Contest Asia. Fans of the Contest had been waiting for the network’s decision on its national selection until the announcement was made, as the selections are set to take place some time this month.
As of press time, the details are yet to be finalized and fans are urged to wait for official announcements from the social media accounts of Star Music and ABS-CBN.
Over the past week, Bangladesh and Bhutan revealed their national selection plans for the contest.
Bangladesh launched its “Voice of Bangladesh” social media accounts that will show the “audition process, show updates, exclusive behind-the-scenes, artist highlights, and also the winner’s journey.”
After earlier dismissing its national selection plans back in June, Bhutan officially announced the five artists taking part in its “Rhythm of Bhutan” national final.
Ten countries are set to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest Asia, which will be held on Nov. 14 in Bangkok, Thailand.
