MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine selections for the Eurovision Song Contest Asia will take place later this month, according to ABS-CBN’s Star Magic.
The network said last night that Filipino music fans will hear the music “soon”.
“From the archipelagos, to the world… Hear the music soon,” ABS-CBN said in its social media platforms.
Today, Star Magic announced the Philippines’ official date for its national selection as Aug. 30 at the New Frontier Theater in Cubao, Quezon City.
The singers have yet to be revealed as of press time.
Over the past week, Bangladesh and Bhutan revealed their national selection plans for the contest.
Bangladesh launched its “Voice of Bangladesh” social media accounts that will show the “audition process, show updates, exclusive behind-the-scenes, artist highlights, and also the winner’s journey.”
After earlier dismissing its national selection plans back in June, Bhutan officially announced the five artists taking part in its “Rhythm of Bhutan” national final.
Ten countries are set to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest Asia, which will be held on Nov. 14 in Bangkok, Thailand.
