Pas information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari said some parties claimed that BN would lose out by forming an understanding with PN, while others believed Pas would be the one to face negative consequences.

SHAH ALAM - Pakatan Harapan (PH) will be the party that suffers the most if an understanding between Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) is realised in the Negeri Sembilan State Election (PRN).

Pas information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari said some parties claimed that BN would lose out by forming an understanding with PN, while others believed Pas would be the one to face negative consequences.

However, the Pasir Mas Member of Parliament (MP) said the reality was that PH would be the party most affected.

“Some say BN will lose by forming an understanding with PN. Others say Pas will be the one to suffer. The truth is, the one that will really lose is PH.

“Keep moving forward, do not worry about distractions. This Saturday, ensure PH sinks in Negeri Sembilan,” he said in a Facebook post on Saturday.

The post was believed to be referring to statements by several PH leaders who claimed that BN risked being “swallowed” by PN if it continued its understanding with the coalition, while Pas was likened to “offering its neck” to Umno in the seat allocation negotiations.

Previously, media reports quoted national DAP vice-chairman Syahredzan Johan as saying that BN risked losing its influence if it continued its cooperation with PN.

In another report, Amanah Communications Director Khalid Abd Samad said Pas would have to make major sacrifices during the seat allocation negotiations.

Last Wednesday, Wawasan President Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin proposed cooperation between PN and BN to face the Negeri Sembilan PRN under the name Perikatan Barisan Nasional (PBN).

According to the Larut MP, the use of the name was intended to avoid confusion among the public regarding the cooperation between the two political coalitions.
