A SURGE in digital gaming solutions more than tripled PhilWeb Corp.’s second-quarter net income, with the segment emerging as the company’s biggest revenue contributor.
The company said in a statement on Tuesday that net income reached P47 million, up 237 percent from P13.9 million in the first three months of 2026.
“The rapid sequential growth and margin expansion in the second quarter validate the massive operating leverage of our digital gaming solutions segment,” PhilWeb President Brian Ng said.
Digital gaming, which includes PhilWeb’s interactive platform and game content distribution businesses, generated P200.3 million, up 152 percent quarter-on-quarter and accounting for 57 percent of total revenue.
The growth helped push total revenue to P352.4 million, up 51 percent from the previous quarter and 96 percent from last year.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda) rose 119 percent quarter-on-quarter and 886 percent year-on-year to P51.5 million.
The Ebitda margin improved to 15 percent from 10 percent in the first quarter.
For the first half, revenue reached P585.4 million, up 63 percent from P358.6 million a year earlier.
Net income stood at P61 million, an improvement of P102.8 million from the same period last year.
The company is also piloting artificial intelligence applications for fraud detection, regulatory compliance and customer service as it expands its technology infrastructure for licensed digital gaming operators.
PhilWeb said it was continuing to integrate global game content providers into its platform and provide technology infrastructure to licensed operators and partners in the country.
PhilWeb’s share price rose by 40 centavos to close at P13.80 each on Tuesday.
