A fiery pile of durians in the middle of the road has left netizens scratching their heads after a video showing the bizarre incident went viral on social media.
In the video, a heap of durians can be seen burning intensely by the roadside, with some scattered on the road and some still in the basket.

The flames appeared to have already engulfed most of the fruit, leaving behind a charred mess.
Photos of the charred durians were also taken after the fire was extinguished, showing them completely blackened.
Speaking exclusively to WeirdKaya, the person who recorded the video shared what they knew about the situation.
From what I understand from the truck driver, the durians self-ignited while still inside the truck around 2 to 3pm. The driver quickly unloaded them onto the road to prevent the entire vehicle from catching fire.”
Fire was put out when police arrived
According to the video poster, the police arrived shortly after but the fire had already been extinguished.
Firefighters also came later to investigate the cause of the blaze.
However, no conclusive results were found regarding what caused the spontaneous combustion of the durians.
