
KOTA KINABALU: Datuk Ewon Benedick’s recent election as the new Sabah Pakatan Harapan (PH) Chairman on Dec 1 has sparked a dispute over the post, with claims that it is reserved for Sabah Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR).
The election during Sabah PH’s general meeting saw Ewon defeating PKR Sabah Political Bureau Chairperson Datuk Seri Christina Liew by three votes.

Christina emphasised that Sabah PKR focuses on strengthening its election machinery for the 17th State Election, which is anticipated to be held next year.
