PAPAR: The water supply disruption here for more than five years is expected to be resolved when upgrading of the water treatment plant in Kogopon, near here, is completed by the middle of next year.

Papar Member of Parliament Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali said he instructed the appointed contractor of Kogopon Water Treatment Plant (LRA) Phase 2 to build the water treatment plant first before other components.

Once the upgraded plant is completed, it will have the capacity to add 80 million litres of treated water per day to the existing distribution, which has been doubled from the existing capacity of 40 million litres per day.
