KUALA LUMPUR - UMNO and Barisan Nasional (BN) are asking Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim not to look back and to continue to drive Malaysia to become an advanced country.

BN chairman who is also Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said although there are criticisms from various quarters towards the country’s leadership and the existing government, these matters should be ignored for the sake of national development.

"The people in the country want the Prime Minister, together with the 19 parties in the existing Unity Government, to continue to drive Malaysia to become an advanced country,” he said.

The UMNO president said this while speaking at the Unity Government National Convention 2023, at Dewan Merdeka, World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL), here today.
