Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s first official visit to the Public Service Department focused on reform, efficiency, and human capital development.

PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim joined about 400 Public Service Department (JPA) staff for its Ihya’ Ramadan programme today.

His arrival at 11.25 am was welcomed by Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar and JPA director-general Tan Sri Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz.

Anwar later chaired a joint meeting with the department’s top management.

This marked his first official visit to JPA, enabling the department to brief him on key initiatives for boosting efficiency, sustainability and public service reform.

The visit highlighted JPA’s strategic role as a central agency driving policy formulation and human capital development.

Anwar’s presence reaffirmed the government’s commitment to institutional reform for a relevant, competitive and responsive public service.

The Ihya’ Ramadan programme centred on a dialogue between the Prime Minister and JPA management.

Discussions focused on enhancing service delivery, developing human capital and strengthening governance.
