KUALA LUMPUR - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will attend the 2023 Umno General Assembly (PAU) tomorrow (Friday).
In confirming this, Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan said the Tambun Member of Parliament will arrive around 8.30am.
"Anwar will come tomorrow. I was informed that the Prime Minister will be present tomorrow.
"The ceremony will start at 8am tomorrow, so I believe Anwar will arrive at 8.30am," he told reporters after a special Supreme Council meeting at Menara Dato Onn, World Trade Centre (WTC) today.
On Feb 7, after nearly 25 years of not setting foot at Umno headquarters, Anwar returned to the place where his political career had begun to attend the Unity Government Secretariat Meeting.
Anwar had never visited the building since he was sacked from his post as deputy prime minister and Umno deputy president on Sept 3, 1998.
