PETALING JAYA: The Prime Minister’s Office has lodged a police report over a fake letter claiming that the Cabinet had approved a private finance initiative to widen the PLUS highway.
The office denied any involvement in the document or the purported approval, adding that Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim did not issue or sign the letter dated July 17, 2026.
“The public is advised not to be deceived by, disseminate or share the fake document,” it said in a statement.
The office said the police report was lodged over the document’s falsification and the misuse of the prime minister’s name and his office.
It said appropriate legal action would be taken against any party found to be involved.
