SHAH ALAM - Perikatan Nasional (PN) is disappointed by the significantly low voter turnout in the state elections across six states on Saturday.

Its Deputy Chairman, Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu, said, however, PN has achieved favourable results so far in Terengganu, Kelantan, and Kedah.

"I am very pleased to hear that colleagues in seats that previously had issues have emerged victorious.

"The results in Penang have been good so far, we just need to also look at the overall results in Selangor and Negeri Sembilan," he told reporters when met at the PN war room premises at Hotel Concorde here.

The Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Deputy President arrived at around 9.30pm to follow the official state poll results together with the top PN leadership.

The Election Commission (EC) reported a voter turnout of only 70% or less across all six states by 4pm.

Terengganu recorded the highest voter turnout at 70 per cent, followed by Kedah (68 per cent), Penang (67 per cent), Selangor (65 per cent), and Negeri Sembilan (62 per cent).
