MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Volleyball Federation announced on Thursday that Italian coach Angiolino Frigoni has been named the head coach of the Philippine women’s volleyball team.
He succeeds former Akari Chargers coach Taka Minowa, who previously led the women's team at the 20th Asian Games in Minowa’s hometown in Japan.
Meanwhile, Dante Alinsunurin—head coach of the PVL side Choco Mucho Flying Titans—will step in to take over the men’s national team.
These significant coaching changes form an integral part of the PNVF’s massive organizational and structural reforms.
