Kota Kinabalu: A round-the-clock police beat base has been established in the city as tourism revives.

Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Jauteh Dikun, speaking at the launching of the police beat box at Warisan Square today, said its objective is to increase police presence as tourism sees a steady revival.

“There is no doubt that Sabah and Kota Kinabalu are safe although the city gets busy at night," he told reporters.

“But, it's better that we all work together to maintain the safety enjoyed. This booth will ensure our fullest service to the community."
