POLICE have confirmed that the man killed in a shooting incident at a petrol station in Bukit Tinggi, Klang, last Friday was a wanted individual under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (SOSMA).

Selangor Police Chief Shazeli Kahar said the 34-year-old man also had multiple previous criminal records.

He said investigations are ongoing and are focusing on several angles, taking into account the victim’s background. Seven statements have been recorded so far, including from the victim’s wife, family members and eyewitnesses.

“Investigations are still underway. The post-mortem has been completed, and the cause of death was determined to be gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen. The body has since been released to the family for burial,” he said during a press conference at the Selangor Police Headquarters today.

Shazeli added that police were also examining the possible involvement of organised crime groups in the incident.

Last Friday’s shooting shocked customers and staff at the Bukit Tinggi petrol station.

CCTV footage circulating on social media showed the attack taking place at about 11.07pm. The silent video appeared to capture a motorcyclist firing several shots at a customer who was refuelling at the station. - November 11, 2025
