BEAUFORT: All police officers must fight and help eradicate drug abuse.

Chief of Police, DSP Yusoff Zaki Mat Yaacob, said this while witnessing the handing over of duties of Beaufort Station Chief of Police ASP Ali Amat Hasim to Insp. Muhammad Zuhailie Yahya.

He also witnessed the handover ceremony of Acting Chief of Police Kuala Penyu, Sjn Ruslan Kamaruddin and handover of duties to Chief of Police to Sergeant Major Mohd Hadizzuddin Augustin Abdullah, held at the Police Headquarters here.

He said the police would not compromise and tolerate drug abuse.

“There is no compromise regarding drug offenders, they should be dealt with because they are the cause of robberies and thefts as well as threaten lives”, he said.

He congratulated Zuhailie on being the new Police Chief of Beaufort Station and also Hadizzuddin as Police Chief of Kuala Penyu Station.

He hoped they would carry out their duties in line with the responsibility entrusted to them to make the Beaufort and Kuala Penyu districts always safe and peaceful.
