Kota Kinabalu: Police are seeking the public’s help in locating one named “Datuk Yusri Yusuh” to facilitate investigations under Section 420 of the Penal Code for cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property involving RM1.93 million worth of loss.

Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Idris Abdullah, in a statement Tuesday, said the Sabah Commercial Crime Investigation Department is looking into eight reports connected to the case.

He said the individual allegedly misled the victim by offering a bogus road upgrade project in Sabah.

"The victim was required to pay deposits to secure the project," he said, adding that the victim paid between RM30,000 and RM650,000 with a total loss of RM1.93 million.

Anyone with information on the individual's whereabouts is asked to contact the investigating officer, Insp. Tilmanshah Wasli, at 016-578 5962 or 088-529 761.
