- Police allege the pair arrived in Australia “for the sole purpose” of distributing and supplying large quantities of prohibited drugs.
- The drug haul, with an estimated street value of almost £6m, was discovered in a short-term let unit and the boot of a car leased by Mr Farrelly.
- Locals tipped off the police, becoming suspicious of the tourists, leading to the arrests and the seizure of the narcotics.
