POLICE are investigating a woman known as 'Inspector Sheila' who was accused of obstructing a traffic policeman and using inappropriate language towards him while he was on duty, yesterday.
Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said the incident occurred in front of a pizza restaurant on Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, at about 9.30pm when the policeman arrested a Pakistani driver who was found driving without a licence.
“While the policeman was dealing with the driver, a woman known as Sheila suddenly came from behind.
“The woman then allegedly accused the policeman on duty of threatening the 34-year-old Pakistani driver,” he said when contacted by BuletinTV3.
According to him, the woman involved also allegedly accused the policeman of ‘not knowing the law’ apart from making remarks aimed at discrediting the credibility of the police at the scene of the incident.
Following that, Fadhil said that the policeman involved in the incident lodged a report.
"The case is being investigated under Section 186 of the Penal Code for obstructing a public servant from carrying out his duties and Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955 - for the offence of indecent or insulting conduct in a public place.
"Further investigations are being actively carried out to complete the investigation papers," he said.
Earlier, a video uploaded by the woman on social media went viral claiming that the police officer threatened a Pakistani citizen.
