
TACLOBAN CITY — The Tacloban City Police Office (TCPO) and Police Regional Office 8 (PRO-8) launched a manhunt to capture another suspect in the shooting incident at the San Jose National High School in Tacloban City on Monday that left three people dead and five others injured.
Police said responding officers immediately secured the school, provided assistance to the injured, and rushed them to nearby medical facilities for treatment.
Authorities arrested one suspect shortly after the incident. A second suspect remains at large.
The TCPO said an extensive investigation is ongoing to determine the motive behind the attack, identify everyone involved, and ensure those responsible are held accountable under the law.
Both TCPO and PRO-8 appealed to the public to remain calm, avoid spreading unverified information, and cooperate with authorities as additional police personnel have been deployed to maintain security in the area.
