TACLOBAN CITY — Three persons were confirmed dead and five others were injured in a shooting incident at the San Jose National High School in Tacloban City on Monday morning.
Police said the shooting occurred at around 9 a.m., with initial reports from the Philippine National Police confirming three fatalities and five injured victims. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack.
Videos circulating online showed students and teachers fleeing the school in panic, some in tears, as a wounded female student was carried out by fellow students. There were unconfirmed reports that at least one of the fatalities was a student.
