Kota Kinabalu: Police have opened two investigations papers in the Penampang district over alleged religious insults on Facebook recently.
Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Jauteh Dikun advised the public to be more responsible and stop playing religious sentiments as to maintain Sabah’s harmony.
“I’m sure the author and those who keep resharing do not even have the basic understanding of the religion that they are commenting on," he told a press conference.
“I hope members of the public who happen to come across it do not fan the flames by propagating more intolerance.”
