Police tracking woman who allegedly assaulted 2 children after three reports lodged

POLICE have received three reports over alleged incidents of harassment and assault involving a woman at the KLCC shopping centre, including claims that she pushed and hit two children.

Dang Wangi police chief Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Azwan Amin Nordin said the first report was lodged by the shopping centre's building manager at about 7.59pm on the day of the incidents.

He said the report covered three separate incidents of alleged harassment involving a local woman and visitors and customers at the premises.

Police subsequently received another report from a victim who alleged that the woman had pushed and assaulted his two children on the same day.

"The case is being investigated under Sections 323 and 506 of the Penal Code," he said in a statement today.

Ahmad Azwan said police were tracking down the woman and viewed any acts of violence, intimidation and harassment against members of the public seriously, particularly those involving children's safety.

He said appropriate action would be taken under the law against anyone found to have committed an offence.

Members of the public with information about the incidents have been urged to contact the Kuala Lumpur police hotline at 03-2146 0522 or 03-2146 0585, the Dang Wangi district police control centre at 03-2600 2222, or any nearby police station.

The case gained public attention after a 35-second video went viral on Threads and Facebook, showing a commotion and verbal altercation, followed by an apparent slapping incident between the children's father and the woman. - November 2, 2026
