- In the end, it was Chwalinska who held her nerve as she completed a 7-6, 6-4 win to move within one win of her maiden grand slam title.
- Chwalinska is now set to play her third straight Russian opponent, as she will face Mirra Andreeva in the final, after the teenager beat Ukraine’s Marta Kostyuk earlier on Thursday.
