Chinese toy company Pop Mart unveiled the brand new “The Monsters Pin For Love Series” which features mini Labubu dolls.

That cute/creepy-looking monster is not going anywhere.

Labubu has taken the world by storm, much to fans’ delight and naysayers’ chagrin. The iconic furry doll with a mischievous grin and serrated teeth has become a worldwide icon, instantly recognisable by everyone except Liam Neeson. K-pop superstar Lisa, herself a fan of the dolls, recently took the stage in London with her fellow Blackpink members decked out in a Labubu outfit.

The craze isn’t dying down anytime soon. Pop Mart, the toy company responsible for selling the dolls, recently announced that a new series called “The Monster Pin For Love Series” will include a brand new kind of Labubu: a mini Labubu.

The mini Labubu is coming soon

Pop Mart unveiled “The Monster Pin For Love Series” on August 22, showcasing a brand new type of Labubu that will surely have people queueing for hours on end at their stores worldwide. Much like their normal-sized counterparts, the figurines will be sold in blind boxes, and there will be 30 different variations. The series will also include charm pendants, each with a different letter and Labubu charm.

The charm series will be priced at USD 18.99 (RM80.35) while the mini Labubu dolls will be priced at USD 29.99 (RM127). They’re set to be released on August 29 but there’s no word yet whether it will be released here Thailand and whether it will be on the same date.

It’s hard to believe that it was only in 2019 that Labubu creator Kasing Lung struck a deal with Pop Mart to sell his furry creations. They’ve since become a global phenomenon. Pop Mart reported a 204% increase in revenue compared to last year, according to Business Insider. The dolls are in such high demand that Pop Mart has stopped physical sales in some countries. Clearly, the hype isn’t dying down.
