Pop-punk icons bring The Bigger Than You Think! Tour to Kuala Lumpur with nostalgic hits, fan favourites and a milestone celebration 25 years in the making
Multi-platinum pop-punk band Simple Plan is set to return to Malaysia this year, bringing its global The Bigger Than You Think! Tour to Idea Live Arena on Nov 21.
The highly-anticipated concert marks a major milestone as the band celebrates 25 years in music, promising fans an energetic night of nostalgia, sing-along anthems and career-spanning hits that have defined generations of pop-punk listeners.
Fans can expect a setlist packed with some of Simple Plan’s biggest songs, including Welcome to My Life, Perfect and I’d Do Anything, alongside fan favourites and rarer live performances. Known for its electrifying stage presence, the band’s return is expected to deliver a memorable experience for longtime supporters and newer fans.
Artiste presale tickets will be available from May 4 at 11am, followed by public sales on May 5 at 11am via official ticketing platforms, Ticketmelon and Fantopia. Ticket prices start from RM358, excluding a 10% entertainment tax imposed by the Selangor state government.
As part of the tour, US$1 (RM3.97) from every ticket and VIP package sold will be channelled to the Simple Plan Foundation, the band’s charitable organisation established in 2005 to support young people in need and champion music as a tool for self-expression and purpose. To date, the foundation has contributed over US$3 million to various causes.
The band shared returning to Southeast Asia holds special meaning, especially after its last regional visit in 2023. This anniversary run is expected to be one of its most celebratory tours yet, reflecting its long-standing relationship with fans and its enduring place in pop-punk culture.
RK Live Asia director Rahul Kukreja said the band’s connection with regional audiences remains strong, adding that Kuala Lumpur fans can expect a show that fully captures Simple Plan’s legacy and energy.
