SHAH ALAM: Powerwell Holdings Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Kejuteraan Powerwell Sdn Bhd (KJSB), has received a supply contract from a leading international contractor for the supply and delivery of low-voltage switchboards in connection with a data centre project in Johor for RM158.8 million.

The contract is expected to be fulfilled by March 2027 and marks a landmark achievement for the group, and is now the largest in its history.

It surpasses the group’s previous record — an RM94.1 million semiconductor project — as well as its previous largest single data centre win of RM68.5 million, secured in January 2026.

Notably, this contract was awarded by a repeat customer, underscoring the confidence that customers continue to place in the group.

The contract represents a landmark achievement for the group, surpassing both the previous largest single data centre win of RM68.5 million secured in January 2026 and the largest contract in the group’s history.

The previous record was a RM94.1 million contract for a semiconductor project.

The increasing scale of contract wins is not only a testament to the group’s established track record and technical capabilities but also a reflection of the accelerating momentum in the data centre space, as demand for robust and reliable power distribution infrastructure continues to grow across the region.

The group’s order book remains healthy at RM150.8 million as at the end of March 2026, excluding the latest contract.

Meanwhile, the tender pipeline remains promising, with the group actively pursuing opportunities across multiple high-growth sectors, including data centres, renewable energy, semiconductors, and infrastructure.

Powerwell has gained strong momentum, with two sizeable contract wins in 2026, and concluded its latest full-year results with a record-high net profit.

All in all, the outlook remains bright, premised on a healthy order book and a promising tender pipeline, as the group looks to maintain its positive trajectory.
