
The Premier League have told all 20 clubs in the division to lobby the Football Association regarding work permits.
Per The Mail, Premier League clubs are not happy at the number of points players have to accrue before they are eligible for a work permit.
Given the UK is no longer in the EU, even players from European countries must abide by those rules.
The current rules state a player must reach 15 points, which Chelsea youngster Andrey Santos missed by a point recently.
The Premier League wants to reduce that figure to 12, which would make it a little easier for clubs to secure top young talent from outside the country.
The Premier League's chief football officer Tony Scholes briefed the clubs on this matter at the start of February.
