Prime minister Anwar Ibrahim congratulates Tuanku Muhriz on his 78th birthday, praying for the royal family’s health and continued guidance.
KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has extended his congratulations to the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, on his 78th birthday.
In a Facebook post, Anwar also prayed for the good health and prosperity of Tuanku Muhriz, the Tunku Ampuan Besar Tuanku Aishah Rohani, and the entire royal family.
He prayed they would be granted lasting well-being and protection from Allah SWT while continuing to guide the state with wisdom.
“May Allah SWT bless the reign of His Royal Highness. Daulat Tuanku,” Anwar said.
In conjunction with the ruler’s birthday, an investiture ceremony for state awards was held at the Balairung Seri, Istana Besar Seri Menanti.
Tunku Kecil Muda Tunku Datuk Mahmood Fawzy Tunku Muhiyiddin led the list of 532 recipients.
He was conferred the Darjah Seri Setia Tuanku Muhriz Yang Amat Terbilang, which carries the title Datuk Seri.
The ceremony’s first session was held today, with further sessions scheduled for January 20 and January 27.
