
- Stephen King's 1980 horror short story Crouch End is being adapted into a six-part TV series for Prime Video.
- Set in north London, the project will be the first King adaptation to be produced in the UK.
- The plot follows film star Doris Freeman and police inspector Ted Vetter as he investigates the mysterious disappearance of her husband.
- Screenwriter Paul Tomalin is adapting the story, with Tom Shankland directing the series.
- Nicole Clemens, vice president of International Originals at Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, said: “Stephen King is one of the defining storytellers of our time, and we’re thrilled to bring his Lovecraftian tale to life in London with Crouch End.”
