The Prince of Wales issued a cheeky message following England's dramatic 2-1 win over DR Congo this evening.
It was captain fantastic Harry Kane who came to the Three Lions' rescue on Wednesday night, after Thomas Tuchel's side found themselves 1-0 down to the African nation with just 15 minutes left on the clock.
As the full-time whistle blew, less than 10 minutes after the Bayern Munich forward had put England in front for the first time on the evening, the nation breathed a sigh of relief – they had not been on the wrong end of a historic World Cup upset.
William, however, was never worried this would be the case. Or so he says.
Taking to Instagram, the prince said "never in doubt", accompanied by a cheeky winky face.
"Well done England! Onto the next!" he added.
William was not one of the 70,000 frenetic football fans crammed into the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, this evening, but he was undoubtedly biting his fingernails a little more than he let on after a shaky performance from the Three Lions.
It took just seven minutes for tricky winger Brian Cipenga to give the Leopards an unlikely lead after he found himself in acres of space inside the box, smashing the ball past Jordan Pickford at his near post.

A frustrating half then ensued. An exasperated Jude Bellingham picked up an early yellow card for a rash challenge, while the Real Madrid star tested Lionnel Mpasi on multiple occasions in the DR Congo net.
The goalkeeper was in inspired form throughout the match, keeping England's stars at bay for some time with a string of extraordinary saves.
However the fortitude of the DR Congo defence could not withstand Kane for a full 90 minutes. He found the back of the net with his head in the 75th minute to send the English fans into raptures.
And it took the former Spurs star just 11 more minutes before he wheeled away in celebration again, this time lashing a shot in from the edge of the box, leaving Mpasi no chance.

While William's online message appeared controlled and nonchalant, undeniably, as Kane whipped his effort into the roof of the DR Congo net, he was anything but.
Even after his heroics, Kane told the nation: "The same as every other nation, we're through – enjoy it."
William, a well-known football fan and Aston Villa supporter, has been seenstruggling to contain his emotions while watching the sport before.
In May, the Prince of Wales was left overcome with emotion as his beloved Villa lifted the Europa League trophy in Istanbul as he watched on from the stands.
The heir to the throne was spotted celebrating with unbridled joy alongside friends when the Villans took the lead.
He even found himself wiping tears from his eyes, visibly moved by the magnitude of the occasion, as his club lifted their first major silverware in three decades, ending a painful drought for their most famous fan.
