TAWAU: Police here are investigating the alleged rape of a 14-year-old girl at a village in Jalan Apas last Sunday.
Tawau Police Chief ACP Jasmin Hussin said the police received a report by a foreign woman around 7.49pm that day claiming her adopted child was raped.
He said preliminary investigations showed the suspect, believed to be a foreigner, lived with the girl.
The victim has been sent to Tawau Hospital for examination and the case is being investigated under Section 376 of the Penal Code, he added.
