
Kota Kinabalu: Several videos of motorboats shaped like sports cars have recently been making rounds on social media.
The videos are believed to have been shot in Semporna.
In one of the videos, the person who filmed it claimed the boats were bought from China.
A check on the Internet found that several China-based companies offer similar boats priced between US$10,000 and US$69,000 each.

Companies around the world had manufactured actual amphibious vehicles previously.
One of the most notable was the US$198,000 Prodrive Watercar Panther, an off-roading four-seater soft-top that floats and rides waves.
The vehicle was made by WaterCar, a company founded in California with the mission of building the fastest amphibious car in the world.
With its V6-powered “Panther Jet” engine, the Prodrive Watercar Panther can reach 40mph at sea and up to 80mph on the road.
