
LABUAN: Chairman of the Labuan Chinese Chamber of Commerce Datuk Wong Kii Hii personally presented a 14-point proposal to Deputy Finance Minister Steven Sim at his office at Putra Jaya.
“We hope the Minister will study the proposals and address the issues affecting the island resulting in dwindling economic activities,” he said.
Wong said “the local economy had been severely disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic and recovery was affected by rigid rules and matters worsened by the withdrawal of sales of duty free cigarettes.
