MANILA, Philippines — The prosecution team has asked the impeachment court to issue a subpoena for undersecretary and chief of staff Zuleika Lopez of the Office of the Vice President to appear as a witness in the impeachment trial of Duterte.
The request, filed on Tuesday, was for the impeachment article related to Duterte's kill remark against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Prosecutors said Lopez' testimony was necessary not only to establish the allegations under that impeachment article but also to identify and authenticate evidence to be presented.
