Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly exploring another high-profile attacking move involving one of Lionel Messi’s Argentina teammates.
The French champions are already planning ahead for the next transfer window as they continue reshaping their squad under Luis Enrique.
One name from Argentina’s 2022 World Cup squad has now emerged as a serious target.

PSG is seriously considering a Julian Alvarez transfer move
A report circulating online, including a post shared on X, claims Paris Saint-Germain are actively evaluating a move for Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez ahead of the next transfer window.
“PSG is seriously considering Julian Alvarez for the next transfer window! Luis Enrique appreciates the Argentine’s profile,” Gaudin wrote.
The 2022 World Cup winner has quickly built a reputation as one of the most versatile forwards in Europe, capable of playing centrally or alongside another striker.
His pressing ability and movement are traits that have often been highlighted in Luis Enrique’s attacking systems, which is why the Argentine international continues to be linked with the Paris club.
Julian Alvarez has hinted he is not fully closing the door on leaving Atletico Madrid
What makes the latest PSG talk more interesting is that Alvarez has not given a totally definitive answer about his future.
Speaking recently after Atletico’s Champions League win over Tottenham, he said he was happy at the club but added that staying next season was not certain, saying in effect that maybe he will stay and maybe he will not.
That does not amount to a transfer request. It does, however, leave room for speculation, especially with Barcelona and PSG both being linked.
Alvarez has also previously acknowledged that PSG tried to recruit him before, confirming there had been discussions between the club’s hierarchy and his agent.
So the situation is fairly clear for now. Alvarez says he is happy at Atletico, but he has not completely shut the door on a future move, which is why reports like this one will keep gaining traction ahead of the next transfer window.
