PUTATAN: The 2025 Putatan District Petanque Championship, held over two days at Arena Bakut, drew more than 70 participants from across the district.
The event featured 42 male and 30 female players, competing in their respective categories.
Held on July 19, the program was co-organised by Sabah’s Ministry of Youth and Sports, Sendil Boules Sports Club, Pasir Putih Boules Club, and Ketiau Boules Club.

Mohamad Syahzamil Madarin Syahar Alli won the boys’ 13–20 category, while Leeyana Fitrialesya Kamrudin topped the girls’ category.
Winners received cash prizes and hampers presented by Sabah Youth Assembly member Saiful Bahri Bahrum on behalf of Isquzawan.
